Global problems are not solved in one day.

The keys to a successful project are visualizing the idea and developing the concept. This includes well-researched plans and scenarios.

Collect contributions & grants

Social-Skulptur.org is an initiative. We need your support to create more awareness and interest for specific issues.

Team up & scheduling

The projects take place in public places. We are looking for the right supporters*, team members* and experts* to support us in the work of liaising with authorities, communication and logistics on site.

Execute the project

Let’s do it! Now is the time to take action and make a statement with a social sculpture. Your help generates our resources. You can support us financially, participate on site or commit as a volunteer* in advance.

Social Sculptures in preparation

Our social sculptures are internationally positioned. Three projects in Lebanon, Indonesia and Benin are in the preparation and networking phase.

Lebanon 2020

Please hold the line | Lebanon

At four different places in Lebanon a long table will be staged in public. A white tablecloth is used to set the table and lunch is served to different ethnic and religious groups, some of whom are hostile. How does the food of the others taste like? Beirut, Bakaa, Tripoli and Tyros are home to strong contrasts, ranging from wealth to a refugee camp – everyday racism causes people to gape further apart. The very same tablecloth travels to all places on our journey and serves as a canvas for the different scenarios.

Indonesia 2020

Our little plastic secret | Indonesia

It has been many years overdue to clear countless beaches worldwide of rubbish. But how can we achieve a change in people’s awareness so that they do it voluntarily?

Plastic is produced in the most beautiful colors from which sculptures can be made. In addition, well pre-sorted plastic is a valuable raw material that can even be converted back to oil or gasoline, kerosene and diesel. This social sculpture will cooperate with a partner who has expertise in recycling plastic into oil.

Benin 2020

Welcome back! | Benin

On the beach of Ouidah, a town in Benin, stands the “Gate of No Return”. The door is a memorial arch for enslaved Africans* and symbolizes the transposition of countless destinies to America from this point. During the “Welcome back!” project week ancestors* will be welcomed back to Benin’s beach. Transparent doors and gates will be set up to allow the return ceremonially.
